Fabrication Workshops
12 hours of instruction in 3 hour blocks once a week @ $600.00

This entry level workshop is designed to introduce students to the basic foundations of Silversmithing: sawing, piercing, filing, and joining metals with simple jump rings and rivets. (Basic Soldering will be demonstrated in this class). Discussions will include the importance of aesthetically practical design elements, stamping to add interest, methods of adding movement, and basic stone setting using cold connections. Safe workshop procedures for each technique will be covered.
Cire Perdue Casting Workshops
12 hours of instruction in 3 hour blocks once a week @ $600.00

This entry level workshop is designed to introduce students to the basic tenets of lost wax casting using vacuum assist. We will investigate design, function and wearability, tools, waxes, various methods of wax carving, sprueing, investing and casting in Sterling Silver, as well as basic finishing techniques utilizing hand tools and polishing equipment. Safe workshop procedures for each technique will be covered.
Anvil Forging Workshops
12 hours of instruction in 3 hour blocks once a week @$600.00

This entry level workshop is designed to introduce students to basic use of hammers and the anvil in creating beautiful and functional 3 dimensional shapes in Sterling Silver. Students will be encouraged to design and build earrings or bracelets through simple finishing techniques utilizing hand tools and polishing equipment. Safe workshop procedures for each technique will be covered.

Friday (afternoons) 4:00-7:00, Saturday (mornings) 9:00-12:00
Students will be introduced to one of three foundations of silversmithing: fabrication, cire purdue casting and anvil forging, through one on one instruction. All workshops are either 12 or 18 hours in length and can be assigned in 3 hour sessions once a week. You will have access to all tools and equipment and will be asked to supply all materials for individual projects after our initial consultation. This consultation is free of charge and is your opportunity to consider a design and select materials for your custom piece. A $200.00 deposit will be required to reserve your selected workshop time and will be applied toward your total. The remaining balance will be due on the first day of instruction.
*Depending on your project, more than 12 hours of instruction may be required.
