Fluent in design, and committed to quality and expert craftsmanship. Mr. Barbera creates stunningly elegant sterling silver earrings, incorporating richly colorful cabochon gems, jaspers, agates, or dinosaur bone in each handcrafted pair.  Michael is pleased to announce silversmithing workshops for beginning and intermediate students in fabrication, lost wax casting and anvil forging,  by appointment.  2016 Summer/Fall Silversmithing Workshops enrollment opportunities.

Exquisite Blue Topaz Mini Baubles

The word topaz comes from the Sanskrit tapas meaning fire. Topaz occurs naturally in a variety of colors.  Blue topaz occurs naturally and is very rare.  Today, light blue and clear topaz are heat treated to produce the Swiss blue and London blue material so popular in jewelry.  Blue topaz is considered a calming stone and is said to cool a hot temper.
